So I have been playing Gods of Time quite a bit lately.

Posted in Main at 10:35 am by Jim

It is a massive multi-player online game which runs entirely in a browser window using streaming flash. I have been having fun with it and I finally reached level 60 on my first character. If you want to check it out here is a link Gods of Time. One of the things I like about it is the basic game is free, you do not have to give them any type of payment unless you want to help support the development costs. You can sign on and play as much as you like for free.

I am now running a second character who has reached level 24. I doubt he will ever reach 60, but I am having fun. ;-)

Price of Gas

Posted in Main at 7:38 am by Jim

Well, the price of gas has gone nuts once again. It cost me $41.00 to fill my tank up this morning. Wonderful. I remember in the old days in New Jersey gas used to get more expensive in the winter due to the additives they put in the gas. Now the price did not go back down as summer gets nearer, it went up again. Was there some new disaster or have the oil companies finally decided that they are going to screw us for every last nickel they can and don’t care who knows?

Dietrich’s Meats.

Posted in Main at 5:44 am by Jim

We made a short road trip to Dietrich’s Meats in Krumsville, PA yesterday. If you are looking for one of the all time great butcher shops and smoke houses that is the place! I bought some sausages and other assorted smoked meats to enjoy for the next couple weeks. It is a little over an hour from my house, so I will be able to make more trips out there now that I know how to get there. It was a good day.

Another day, more snow.

Posted in Main at 7:13 am by Jim

Looks like we have another day of misc snow falling on us here in New Jersey once again. I doubt we will see much accumulation from this storm, but it is enough to wet everything down and get my car covered in salt and grime once more. I am now ready for spring since winter was a disappointment. We never really got even one good snowstorm to enjoy. sigh

Will’s Homepage

I have been working on getting my new nephew Will’s homepage up and running. Not a lot there yet so it is still a work in progress. He can be found on this website over on this link.

More slush yesterday

Posted in Main at 6:24 am by Jim

This is getting boring. I am tired of shoveling slush off the driveway. If I am going to shovel why can’t it be due to a decent snow storm? A couple inches of actual snow would be nice at some point this winter. Cold and wet is not a good winter. sigh.

New family addition

Posted in Main at 2:44 pm by Jim

William James Boxmeyer was born on February 22, 2007 at 11:11PM. I was able to be in the hospital and meet my new nephew just after midnight on the 23rd. Dave and Kate are both doing well and the three of them are getting to know each other. I wish I could have stayed a while longer except I had to get back to work. I am looking forward to seeing more of them soon!

New Toy!

Posted in Main at 7:59 am by Jim

Well, I finally retired my 1998 GMC Jimmy. I purchased a new Acura RDX with Technology package. I now have 150 miles on it and so far I love driving it. It has all the bells and whistles and is completely voice driven. It is a little weird talking to my car and having it answer back, but I figure I will get used to it over time. Here are some pictures I scavenged from the web.

Navy Football

Posted in Main at 10:37 am by Jim

Navy lost in their bowl game against BC. However, they played very well despite the fact that BC outweighed the Navy players by about 100lbs per player. Navy kept the lead throughout the entire game and BC managed to win by scoring a field goal in the final minutes of the game. Navy demonstrated their ability to play good football against a ranked team in the Division. Congratulations to the Navy Football Team.

Christmas has come and gone.

Posted in Main at 12:49 pm by Jim

Another Christmas has come and gone. I had a great time visiting family and friends during the holiday season. We made our trip up to Maine to spend time in Old Orchard Beach. Christmas was wonderful up there even though it was not a White Christmas. We had some decent weather it was not overly cold this year and the sun was shining. After Maine we headed down to Medfield and spent a few days with Dave and Kate. They had a party and I got to see a lot of family I don’t see very often. The entire visit was great and I had a lot of fun.
